ؕؓDeveloped at Bell Laboratories in the Early 70's, and commercial compilers became available in the Late 70's.Recnetly has become more popular because of its ties to UNIX. Over 90% of UNIX is written in `C'. AT&T originally developed `C' with the intention of making it an in-house standard.
